PV16 / CORPISMOSSI

18 - 23 AGOSTO 2025
POLIGNANO A MARE

The 18th edition of PerSe Visioni – Art Factory, organized by the cultural association Bachi da Setola, is back in Polignano a Mare. Once again, the festival will bring together art, cinema, dance, music, and civic engagement, confirming its role as a landmark event on the cultural scene of Apulia.

Each year, the project explores new languages, connecting contemporary art, independent cinema, experimental music, dance, and social participation. Artists, performers, and filmmakers will animate various locations around Polignano a Mare: the Pino Pascali Foundation, the Sarnelli-De Donato school auditorium, Piazza Suor Maria Laselva, and Casa Bachi. The festival is structured into three interconnected sections:

Campo Bachi (Libera’s summer camp against the Mafia, August 18–23)

PerSe Visioni 18 / CorpiSmossi (dance workshop led by choreographer Horacio Macuacua, August 18–22)

PerSe Visioni 18 / Live Xp (three evenings—August 20, 21, 22—at the Pino Pascali Foundation, featuring cinema, talks, and music).

20 AGOSTO

The festival opens at 9:00 PM in the outdoor spaces of the Pino Pascali Foundation with the screening of Stonebreakers (2023) by Valerio Ciriaci, an Italian director based in New York and founder of Awen Films. The documentary offers a deep and provocative journey into American collective memory, seen through the removal of statues during the 2020 protests, exploring the complex relationship between public art, identity, and history.

Following the film, Livio Improta will present a DJ set blending electronic music, Mediterranean influences, and experimental sounds. His work moves fluidly between club
culture and ethnomusicological research, as reflected in collaborations with labels like
Rawax, Bosconi Records, and his recent LP Fondamentalismi released by Tiella Sound.

21 AGOSTO

An evening dedicated to short films, dialogue, and live music. Starting at 9:00 PM, the official selection of international short films curated by Alina Marazzi—one of the most significant voices in contemporary Italian documentary—will be screened. Her choices reflect a distinctive approach combining archival footage, autobiography, and visual experimentation. A talk will follow, featuring special guests Massimiliano Di Lauro (visual artist and illustrator) and Lorenzo Latrofa (director and animator whose works have won awards at numerous international festivals). The night will conclude with a live set by Trevize, a project blending electronic music with traditions from southern Italy. Winner of the JagerMusicLab 2024 with the track Still Lost, Trevize offers a powerful, immersive performance already featured at Festivalmar, Aniene Festival, and Collateral Maris.

22 AGOSTO

The festival’s final evening begins at 9:00 PM at the Pino Pascali Foundation with two acts embodying the hybrid, global spirit of PerSe Visioni. First on stage: Yuts and Culture, a band rooted in Reggae Roots but now embracing funk, soul, and R’n’B influences, creating a spiritual and rhythmic mix that looks to the future while honoring their Afro-descendant roots. Closing the night: Cucòma Combo, led by Marco Zanotti (also known for Classica Orchestra Afrobeat). The group’s name recalls the bubbling “cucòma,” a traditional Romagna coffee pot—an image that perfectly describes their music, an explosive blend of African, South American, and European rhythms, polyrhythms, and improvisations celebrating global musical cultures.
